Julie McCormick

Julie was a Seattle based artist. We came to be in possession of some of her line because of her passing. Her line was sold off in order to have her end of life desires met. Her bio, written by her when she was alive is below:

I'm a self-taught silversmith forging away in my home studio in Seattle, WA. I strive to create unique, modern pieces infused with just the right amount of the Pacific Northwest! To me, the PNW is stormy, yet deceptively calm... Grey with glints of shine... and always Moody yet Glorious! I hope to represent it well in my work.

Additionally, below is a snippet from her Etsy page posted in August, 2023.

What a difference a day, a week, a month makes. I've had some life changes due to a battle with cancer since the beginning of the year, so I've been a bit absent around here. My battle continues and will for as long as it takes, but I'm finding that Studio time is what I need. I plan to be more present and creative now and in the coming months. Thank You for all your interest and support over the years!

Thank you for visiting my shop! My work is very textural with dark patinas, pops of color and glints of shine. Much like life. If you are familiar with Seattle you may understand how influential the city, and perhaps the Pacific Northwest, is in my creations. My jewelry has also been described as industrial and minimalist. Whatever it is, I truly enjoy making it and can often be found designing, sawing, hammering, soldering and stone setting in my studio in beautiful Seattle!
